About the project
Het Archief was a website where students could download school-related files from each other. One place for summaries, answers and homework, backed by a database of more than 1000 schools.
Content came from users themselves. Students uploaded files, links and exam packs, picked their school for more relevant results, and asked questions on a forum with email alerts. It did not make students lazy. It helped anyone who was busy or stressed keep an overview.

The challenge
School materials lived everywhere. If you needed something, you clicked forever or depended on classmates. I wanted one clear place where students could find each other's work without it turning into a mess.
The solution
Het Archief combined uploads, school filters and a forum. You chose your school, found relevant material faster, and got an email when someone replied to your question. Clear, working, and built for how students actually search.
How it fitted together
Three parts kept it practical.
Sharing by school
With more than 1000 schools in the database you selected yours. That way you saw what applied to you faster, without endless searching.
Uploads that matter
Files, links and exam packs came from students themselves. The site was only as good as what the community put in.
Forum with alerts
School questions lived on the forum. When someone replied, you got an email. No missed answers.
Stopped for low usage
For many students it was a useful site. In the end the project stopped because usage was too low to keep maintaining it. A shame, but an honest line to draw.
