Greetings, I'm Matilda Smets, the founder and proprietor of Tilto, a venture I initiated at the age of fifteen. At my current age of seventeen, my journey into entrepreneurship began with a passion for gaming that acquainted me with various technological devices. Early exposure to applications like Word and PowerPoint laid the groundwork for my proficiency in document design. As I matured, my exploration extended to website development using platforms such as Wix and Jouwweb. However, the limited customization options of these platforms left me seeking more fulfilling solutions.

At the age of thirteen, I stumbled upon the world of programming, and it opened up a whole new realm of possibilities for me. Intrigued by this discovery, I began building websites and steadily improved my skills over time. Motivated to take my newfound expertise to the next level, I decided to establish my own company in April 2022. Despite creating a website for my business, I initially struggled to attract clients, realizing my lack of professionalism.

Subsequently, I learned about the Chamber of Commerce, known as KVK in the Netherlands. Determined to legitimize my venture, I embarked on the journey of official registration. In June 2022, at the age of fifteen, I successfully registered my company as a business. Presently, with an expanded skill set and numerous websites under my belt, I continue to advance.

Currently, I am enrolled at Gilde Opleidingen Venray as a software developer (MBO) and aspire to further expand my business, offering assistance to others in the future.
